 Lets say you want to find out what 226 is in roman numerals. Well we know CC is 200, so we start off with that. Twenty is XX, the second place value, and 6, the last place value is VI. Our roman numeral would be CCXXVI. The place value you see first, is first in the roman numeral, second is also second in the roman numeral, and ect. Lets try another one! Let us try to find out 32. 30 is XXX, and 2 is II, so 32 would be XXXII. Lets figure out the roman numeral of 2017. Well 2000 is MM, 10 is X, and 7 is VII, so 2017 is MMXVII. If you can follow that method, and learn, and memorize the table, you will became a master at this easily!
