Today in America there is two main political parties, known as the Republicans, who tend towards more conservative views, and the Democrats, who tend towards more liberal views, today we will explain the basics of both parties in a neutral way, so you understand, and are more informed.

 Democrats:

  First president of this party being Andrew Jackson, the logo being the jackass/donkey. Believing in high government spending, and high taxes. Are for Pro-Choice causes. Want increased government monitoring of the people. Want the demilitarization of our forces overseas (in our current time of conflict). Want increased welfare rights (help for the poor), as they see the poor need all of our help. Support the right to arms. Wish for the increased regulation of pollutants. Believe against the idea of school choice, and want to encourage unions (a coalition of workers who strike when they feel conditions are unfair). Though these can vary among democrats, these are the general beliefs of the party as a whole.

 Republicans:

 First president of this party being Abraham Lincoln, the logo being the elephant. Believing in lowered government spending, and lowered taxes. Are for Pro-Life causes. Also support government transparency. Want increased militarization overseas (in our current time of conflict). Want the regulation of welfare programs (help for the poor), seeing as the program is abused. Support gun control. Believe there isn't much to change about the pollution situation. Believe in school choice, and is anti-union. Though these can vary among republicans, these are the general beliefs of the party as a whole.
