The Simpsons: Dead or Alive?

With The Simpsons renewed for 2 more seasons with Fox, a question wonders into everyone's head, "How much more long is this show going to last?". Every Simpsons fan knows the episodes are declining in quality, and according to Jim Schembri part of the problem is there is an abandonment of character-driven story-lines in favour of guest-star cameo appearances. Former writers from The Simpsons are also putting the finger on Al Jean, a producer of The Simpsons, for the weak quality of writing in recent years. Though, the show still seems to be popular with the fans, despite the weak writing, and the characters have left an impact on generations, unlike any other show. Furthermore, the answer to the question, is inconclusive, because of the many factors that play into the show, good, and bad. We can only hope that the writers will fix the flaws of The Simpsons.
